Crane Project
The task was to create a crane capeable of maneuvering around a small opening in a sheet of plexiglass and to support a one pound weight at the end. This has to be completed with less than a one inch delfecltion at the end of the crane. Through numerous different iterations our team decided to take a simplifed approach and cut an outline of our desired shape to be bent into our 3D structure. The design featured perferations to account for bending stress and an extra tab near the base of the crane for pretension.
